Fast, flat, and clean
Use this only with a heat-activated backing and a fabric that can safely take the temperature. It is best on sturdy, smooth cotton, denim, twill, and canvas.
Cotton / denim325–350°F (163–177°C), 20–30 seconds
Poly blends275–300°F (135–149°C), 10–15 seconds; test first
- Prep the fabric. Wash and dry it without fabric softener. Work on a firm, heat-safe surface—not a padded ironing board.
- Set the iron. Turn steam off and empty the water. Let the iron reach the correct temperature for the garment.
- Place and protect. Put the adhesive side against the fabric. Cover the patch with a thin cotton pressing cloth.
- Press—do not slide. Apply firm, even pressure for the time above. For a large patch, work section by section without shifting it.
- Press from the back. Turn the garment inside out and press behind the patch for another 10–15 seconds, if the care label allows.
- Let it cool. Leave it flat and untouched until fully cool. Check the edge; if it lifts, repeat in short 5-second presses.
NEVER USE STEAM • NEVER PRESS DIRECTLY ON THE PATCH FACE • LET THE ADHESIVE SET A FULL 24 HOURS BEFORE WASHING
